Draw a cube and rotate it: a part of the cube disappears

In this code I try to draw a cube.I try to draw all faces vertices anticlockwise.
The problem is that if I don't rotate the cube only the red face is drawn, if instead I rotate it of 5 degrees, I just see a part of the cube.

#import <OpenGL/OpenGL.h>
#import <GLUT/GLUT.h>
int width=500, height=500, depth=500;
void init()
{
glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST);
glMatrixMode(GL_MODELVIEW);
glLoadIdentity();
gluLookAt(200, 200,-200, 200, 200, 0, 0, 1, 0);
glMatrixMode(GL_PROJECTION);
glLoadIdentity();
gluOrtho2D(0,width,0,height);

[ubuntu] Compiz Cube - Left & Right, 3rd button cube rotate.
Im pretty sure this is a simple fix but I cannot figure it out.
I once had my left & right mouse buttons binded so they would initiate a cube rotate, and even had my 3rd button (scroll wheel click) to do the same at one point.
After 10.10 update I cannot do this any more. Does any one know where I need to go to bind these buttons to this action?

[ubuntu] Problem with compiz rotate cube and draw fire
Hi all
First off, I just want to say I am new to Ubuntu and Linux (have been using is for 3 weeks now) and I love it.
The problem I am having is in order to use rotate cube and draw fire, i MUST be on top of a window from an app in order for it to work. When i use the key command to rotate the cube on top of a window (say, firefox for example) it works fine. On the other hand, when i go to use the command, or just roll the mouse wheel while my mouse is hovering over the desktop, it wont work. If i use the ctrl-alt-mouse1 command, it just begins to draw a box like the ctrl-alt wasnt even being pressed. This also applies for drawing fire. All other effects wo

Compiz Cube, can't rotate cube.
Hi, I use the hotkey ctrl+alt+left click in Blender to zoom object...
So I didn't want Compiz to use the same key to move around the cube.
I changed a setting in window move, and either the old or the new key works.
New is alt+1 but it does nothing, same with ctrl+alt+left click.
Please help.
Also, I want the move around hotkey to be something like super+m or ctrl+m etc.

Enabled desktop cube and rotate cube and lost desktop functionality
I feel like a grade A noob but here it goes... :popcorn:
I went into the Compiz settings panel and I wanted to enable the 3d rotating cube. I enabled both functions which meant I had to disable two things, I am pretty sure one was the sidebar program that holds icons. I rebooted and now all I can do is see the right click menu and that's it. I can't see the top bar or the side bar and I can't do anything. Is there a way to solve this? :guitar:

[ubuntu] rotate screen or window (not compiz rotate cube)
My wife takes a lot of movies in portrait format, which means a lot of fiddling with VLC to play back them the right way round.
Given that compiz.real does nice zooming (windows key + mousewheel), I wonder if there's some magic key combination to rotate the whole screen (or maybe a window).
I installed the CompizConfig Settings Manager, but that didn't seem to provide any rotate option (It does have rotate cube, but I assume this is the 3D workspace switching I've seen on Macs).
Alternatively I wonder if there's a way of setting up X11 with another screen mode that is portrait? That should also be keyboard switchable, right?
Or may

Opengl Basic cube drawing, but cube draws in single color

I am trying to draw a cube of size 5*5*5 with six diffrent face colors. How ever, when I am doing it, It draws with the single colors, Below is the code for cube.

void init(void)
{
glClearColor(0,0,0,0);
glShadeModel(GL_FLAT);
}
void DrawCube(void)
{
glLoadIdentity();
gluLookAt(10, 10, 10, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0);
glBegin(GL_POLYGON);
//face in xy plane
glColor3f(0.82, 0.41, 0.12);//this the color with which complete cube is drawn.
glVertex3f(0,0 ,0 );
glVertex3f(5, 0, 0);
glVertex3f(5, 5, 0);
glVertex3f(0, 5, 0);
//face in yz plane
glColor3f(1, 0, 0

Create test cube based on existing cube data (but much larger)

Is it possible to create a large cube based on existing cube data?

We'd like to test the performance of certain tools in combination with SSAS and currently do not have any cubes large enough.

e.g. We have a year's worth of data and want to expand it to be 10 year's worth

How rotate a 3D cube at its center XNA?

I try to rotate a 3D cube on itself from its center, not the edge.
Here is my code used.

public rotatemyCube()
{
...
Matrix newTransform = Matrix.CreateScale(scale) * Matrix.CreateRotationY(rotationLoot) * Matrix.CreateTranslation(translation);
my3Dcube.Transform = newTransform;
....
public void updateRotateCube()
{
rotationLoot += 0.01f;
}

My cube rotate fine, but not from the center. Here is a schematic that explains my problem.

And i need this:

How to rotate a cube 3d in edge

Is it possible to rotate a 3-d cube using Edge?  I have a cube logo.  I'd like it to automatically rotate on my home page.  A nice slow rotation, without needing any mouse interaction.

Can you direct me to resources or tutoroial on how to do this?

I'd like it to work on mobile devices.  Not sure if it must be pure CSS3/HTML5.  I'm new to Edge.  Not sure if Edge can pull some Flash in the animation and display it on all browsers/platforms.

rotate able 3d cube - matrix ?
rotate able 3d cube - matrix ?

Okay Guys! This is sort of a challenge.. but also a question. I want to create a rotatable 3D cube out of only Action script.. also, I want to learn to use matrixes and arrays.. so can we focus on using just those for the making the cube part, and hopefully the spinning part as well!
If anyone has any ideas or knows a good place to start please post here because so far all I can think of is drawing a 2d square as a face for the cube.. and I can only rotate that in one dimension so far ahha.
Sounds fun! Be back on in a bit to see what you guys think!

[ubuntu] Rotate cube
I upgraded to Karmic. By default, the mouse wheels do not cause the cube to rotate. I couldn't find the right setting in Desktop Cube and Rotate Cube after installing CompizConfig Setttings Manager. Does anyone know how to assign the mouse wheels to do cube rotation?

What is the best way to rotate cube in Opengl

I have a Rubik's cube displayed using OpenGl in a Java Eclipse application and I want to "rotate" this cube in response to mouse events.

I started with a "naive" (isn't it ?) solution as described here: OpenGL - moving camera with mouse. With such solution in addition to the problem described (my problem is maybe the same ???) when I rotate 90 degrees according X-Axis to get 'upside front' i am not to rotate anymore according initial Y-Axis to get the new front on the right. Because of the first 90 degrees rotaion I will have now to rotate according to Z to get expected behavior.

May be using gluLookAt utility method is easiest than using modeling t

What is Multi Dimention OLAP CUBE and give example cube with more than 3 dimentions

Hi
As I am new to SSAS,have been reading an article on Multi-Dimention OLAP Cube and struggling to understand Cube concepts, It has been said that Although the term "cube" suggests three dimensions, a cube can have up to 64 dimensions. Could you please explain how is this possible on cube
(other than 3-Dim example x,y,z planes)? Please don't give only links to study but also expecting some explanation.
Thanks

[kubuntu] Make Kwin cube behave like compiz cube
Hi all,
I've recently made the switch from gnome to kde. I also upgraded to kde 4.2 so I could use the cube. (I missed the cube so much ;-)). My problem is I don't like the kwin cube as much as the compiz cube. I found the compiz cube much easier to utilize and found it actually made me more productive.
I know it's possible to run compiz on KDE. Would it be easier to configure kwin cube to behave like the compiz cube or should I just install compiz? (I.e. drag windows to different faces, keyboard shortcuts to change desktop face, key+mouse combination to drag/rotate cube?)
Thanks for your time. :)
